Format: Mini-series consisting of six 45-minute episodes.
Synopsis:
As the family buries Yayo, the exiled Spanish patriarch, in the refugee cemetery in Septfonds, north of Toulouse, his granddaughter Paloma discovers that her grandfather led a life marked by political commitment, the memory of the Spanish Civil War, and a unique relationship with André Malraux. Through a combination of contemporary scenes in Toulouse and Septfonds, as well as flashbacks to Malraux’s past in insurgent Spain in 1936, the series presents a narrative of dual temporality, intertwining family and historical memory. In search of her identity, Paloma embarks on a journey across the century that begins with bereavement but promises shocking revelations.
