Young Sulayman lives in Morocco's "Clay Rock" region in perfect harmony with the flora
and fauna.
There, he meets Khadija, the daughter of the caïd, who is the chief of a vast region. Thirsty
for power, the caïd is reluctant to accept his daughter's marriage to a shepherd. When World
War II broke out, the young shepherd was conscripted into the French army.
