Raymond (played by Dominique Pinon) is a Frenchman in his sixties living in Portugal with
his 21-year-old daughter, Catarina (played by Alba Baptista), who is about to marry a wealthy
man.
When Raymond begins to regret his agreement to the marriage because he is thinking only of
the financial aspect, he finds himself caught up in a night of nightmares and personal
upheaval.
